Actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin on Monday, March 14, revealed that she is supporting the candidacy of Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo.
She captioned her recent Instagram post with, “Pagasa.” Locsin also used the hashtag #MayTheLastManStandingBeAWoman.
The photo was a picture of the thousands of attendees in the Leni-Kiko grand rally.

However, Locsin, who was red-tagged by Lieutenant General Antonio Parlade Jr in November 2020, could also end up in a similar situation now that she officially announced her support to Robredo.
Trolls have started to red-tag her by claiming that she was a member of the New People’s Army (NPA), a terrorist group in the Philippines.
On February 25, Locsin, together with Kris Aquino, celebrated the latter’s birthday. She posted it on her Instagram post and received one sarcastic comment amid the outpouring support from netizens: “Mabuhay ang NPA!”
The actress clapped back with a meaningful comment saying, “Nanre-redtag, style diktaturya.”
Her husband, Niel Arce, added to the burn by writing, “Siguro naniniwala ka rin sa Tallano gold” along with laughing emojis.
Locsin continues to help the oppressed despite being red-tagged. She also continues her charity work and was among the first celebrities to show up in a relief operation of Robredo during the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.
Her most recent work was helping a Lumad student who was not given the medication needed for his condition.
