On Sunday, March 6, presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. frustrated his supporters after failing to appear in a sortie in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
The organizer, city councilor Kiko Barzaga, decided to push through with the event explaining that “Sunday is a rest day” for Marcos’s absence.
However, it was found out that he attended a wedding together with the Revillas and with his sister Sen. Imee Marco. Bacoor Mayor Lani Revilla uploaded the photo on the same day of the event where he was supposed to appear in front of his supporters.
Ian Makabayan castigated the former senator for demoralizing those backing him up.
“What kind of leader are you? Niloloko mo mga supporters mo. Have you seen the dismay of supporters when the organizers said you’re not coming?” pointed out Makabayan.
So, BBM did not show up in a sortie in Dasma yesterday. This came out today, he was in wedding together with the Revilla’s yesterday.

A netizen even concluded that Marcos “does not care” for his supporters.

A Twitter personality shared a clip of the attendees who were obviously dismayed after the organizers apologized that Marcos would not be attending the rally.
“Kung ganito ka bastos sa kampanya, paano pa kaya kung nasa pwesto na,” he sneered.
Not showing up in campaign sorties is disrespectful to the organizers and the supporters who devoted time, energy and money just to be there.

A netizen even ridiculed how consistent Marcos is in his absences. He even revealed that the former senator caused further frustrations due to his “missing presence.”
Skl. And guess what? Ang consistent ni BBM. Nakakahanga talaga!

Another also shared that her mother, a Marcos supporter, was disappointed by his absence.
Just today nag karon ng caravan si bbm sa dasma, BBM nanay ko to be honest kaso pag kauwi nya she's really disappointed. Hindi dumalo sa caravan ang kandidato nyo. Utut nyu.

Atty. Nico Quejano even expressed sympathy to the supporters as he tweeted, “Nakakaawa yung mga Dasma, Cavite supporters ni BBM.”
He even encouraged them to support Vice President and presidential candidate Leni Robredo instead.
“Lipat na kayo sa’min. Yung Presidente namin nagmomotor pa para lang makasama mga supporters niya. Tama. Showing up is an essential ingredient of leadership.”

Likewise, talent manager Ogie Diaz invited the BBM supporters to convert as “Kakampinks.”

Previously, Marcos claimed that award-winning broadcast journalist Jessica Soho was biased after he declined an invitation to be interviewed in the Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews.
In the CNN-held presidential debate, he was a no-show despite his biggest opponents in the presidential race.
He, however, attended a debate organized by controversial pastor Apollo Quiboloy’s network Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI), although the biggest threats to his presidency were missing.
