Kapamilya singer-actress Agot Isidro can’t help but blast a netizen who accused artists performing in VP Leni’s campaign rallies as paid.
In a tweet, she ranted. She lectured a netizen that as Filipinos–they also have their principles.
“Mahirap bang paniwalaan na puede kami mag-all-out support nang walang bayad?
“May prinsipyo kami na tinutungtungan at pinaglalaban.”
She also denounced the notion that performers will only act if they get paid to do it.
“Napakaliit naman ng tingin ninyo sa amin na pera lang ang magpapakilos sa amin.”

Agot’s tweet was triggered by a netizen who commented that artists joining the Robredo-Pangilinan rally are offered 1 to 5 million pesos.
Moira dela Torre responded to the netizen and said that they were not paid to join the rallies.
She maintained that they were the ones who volunteered to show support for the candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo.
Moira was one of the volunteer artists who performed in the Zamboanga City People’s rally on Thursday, March 17.

Jolina Magdangal, wife of Rivermaya frontman Mark Escueta also posted about her husband’s dedication to performing in VP Leni’s campaign. She said no amount of money could pay their principles and beliefs for a trustworthy government.
“Flex ko lang asawa ko! Proud kami sayo @markescueta
Ang dedikasyon, tiwala at paninindigan nya ay walang katumbas na kahit magkanong pera.”

Zamboanga is known to be VP Leni’s bailiwick as she won big time there in 2016.
True enough, Zamboanga People’s Rally had an estimated crowd of 35,000 people filling the Cesar Climaco Freedom Park.
Task Force Zamboanga says the final crowd estimate for last night’s Leni-Kiko grand rally in Zamboanga City is 35,000. The tandem pulls off another huge rally even in Mindanao, where they are at their weakest, according to pre-election surveys. #PHVote pic.twitter.com/X4cuNLG21a
