Comedian Eric Nicolas on Tuesday, March 29, refuted the claim of seasoned actress Elizabeth Oropesa that all artists voluntarily supported presidential aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.
On his facebook post, Nicolas admitted that his primary reason for endorsing the candidate was to make a living.
Meanwhile, Ogie Diaz, a Kapamilya comedian-talent manager, and an avid supporter of Vice President and presidential bet Leni Robredo understood where the comedian’s sentiment was coming from.
“It’s ok, eric. I personally understand that. Wa echos. And I love you for being true and honest,” commented Diaz.
He then expressed his concern over Elizabeth Oropesa whose statement backfired on the latter.
Labyu!”
On March 25, Oropesa said she was “voluntarily” supporting Marcos, even promising to have her feet amputated if anyone can prove that she and other BBM celebrities were paid.
Oropesa added that she was certain that celebrities in support of Robredo were paid.
