Toni Gonzaga left Pinoy Big Brother after her ‘Kapamilyas’ aired their sentiments regarding her introduction of Rodante Marcoleta, one of the lawmakers who pushed for her home Network, ABS-CBN’s broadcast shutdown.
She confirmed the news through an Instagram post on Wednesday, February 9.
“It has been my greatest honor to host ‘PBB’ for 16 years.
“From witnessing all my co-hosts transition from housemates to ‘PBB’ hosts are just some of the best moments in my life sa Bahay ni Kuya,” she wrote.
Gonzaga said she is sure that Bianca Gonzalez, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, and Kim Chiu will continue hosting Pinoy Big Brother.
“Today, I’m stepping down as your main host.
“I know Bianca and the rest of the hosts will continue the ‘PBB’ legacy.”

“It has been my privilege to greet you all with ‘Hello Philippines’ and ‘Hello World’ for the last 16 years.
“I will forever cherish the memories, big nights, and moments in my heart. Thank you Kuya for everything.
“This is your angel, now signing off,” she ended.
Gonzaga hosted the proclamation rally of presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. held on Tuesday, February 8 at the Philippine Arena.
She also gave an introduction to a Marcos-allied senatorial candidate, Marcoleta.
Marcoleta was one of the most vocal lawmakers who showed disapproval for ABS-CBN’s franchise renewal application in mid-2020.
Several Kapamilya employees expressed their dismay toward Gonzaga’s hosting of the Marcos-Duterte proclamation.
This is so heartbreaking, Tin. https://t.co/jegJLWw2y8

Lumabas ang mga totoong kulay. Nakakarimarim.

I can never look at you the same way again, Tin. Never the same way again. Your choices say a lot about you now kahit anong bible quotes pa sabihin mo. You are who you are. And it’s not good. #NeverAgain#NoToMarcosDuterte2022

Gusto ko sana maramdaman yung sincerity, but she chose a picture of her wearing red. Speaks volumes. Sabi nung friend ko, puwede namang white, am sure me picture daw siya na naka-white para for peace. And why “angel”???

Service crew nga ng Jollibee, takot makitang kumakain sa McDo! Ito, nagpasara ng kumpanya niya, siya pa ang nag-intro! Ang bait naman ni Kuya!!!

Delikadeza is such a lonely word.

Ang bait ng ABS-CBN!
and that's the tweet…— Alex Calleja (@alexcalleja1007) February 8, 2022

So yes, PBB and all other shows will carry on even without Toni and its other A-listers.
Tandaan: stars come and go, but the institution remains.

RESPETO raw sa choices ni Toni. Marami raw opportunities outside ABS-CBN for her.
RESPETO rin sa mga "walang choice" kundi mawalan ng trabaho dahil sa (mga) politikong ini-endorso ni Toni, at walang ibang opportunities outside ABS-CBN.

Mas OK pa nga yung harapan niyang siniraan yung network kesa yung ginawa niya kagabi. 🤡 https://t.co/sRuXDoogV1
