Social media turns pink as Pinoy celebs show support to Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan tandem’s kick-off campaign

Social media on February 7, turned pink as Filipino celebrities showed their support to Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan’s campaign.

The proclamation rallies on February 8 signals the start of the election campaign period.

As a result, Pinoy celebs voiced their support via their twitter accounts using Robredo and Pangilinan’s social media artcards from their campaign video in the shade of pink with a rose on the lower right corner and used the #KulayRosasAngBukas as hashtag.

Some of the celebrities who showed support are K Brosas, Dionne Monsanto, The Itchyworms, Kerwin King, Gab Pangilinan, Agot Isidro, Bianca Gonzalez, Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz, Sharlene San Pedro, and Mela Habijan.

Brosas even added her spin to the pink artcard by adding her profile photo with Robredo and Pangilinan’s #KulayRosasAngBukas hashtag.

The official campaign period for national post aspirants started on Tuesday, with the presidential candidates staging their respective rallies in different areas nationwide.

National candidates would have three months, or until May 7, to present their platforms and garner voter support come election day on May 9. On the other hand, individuals seeking local posts start their campaign rallies on March 27.

The Commission on Elections also released health and safety guidelines to combat the COVID-19 pandemic during the campaign period.

Vice President Leni Robredo started her campaign in her hometown in Camarines Sur, with her running mate Senator Pangilinan.

Their caravan toured the whole province, beginning at Del Gallego town at 6 a.m. Then, their team holds the proclamation rally at Plaza Quezon in Naga City at 6 p.m.
