Pipay was a hot topic on social media recently following her viral video clip wherein she was seen throwing shade on former PBB main host Toni Gonzaga.
In that viral video, Pipay greeted the audience with “What’s up, Philippines, what’s up world! Wala nang magsasabi niyan ngayon,” which was an altered version of Toni’s popular opening spiel in PBB, “Hello Philippines and Hello World”.
After drawing ire from the netizens, Toni Gonzaga “voluntarily exited” the Bahay ni Kuya following her controversial hosting gig at the Marcos Jr.-Duterte-Carpio proclamation rally.
Meanwhile, after drawing the ire of some netizens, Pipay also went to social media to air her side.

Pipay slammed critics who detest canceling culture and yet were so overjoyed to cancel her over her recent video clip.
“Ganyan po ba ang mental gymnastics ninyo, say no to cancel culture ‘pag kayo ang dehado, pero let’s body shame Pipay and cancel her over this clip?”
Pipay also chastised those who ironically called her insensitive but are defending the very person who also insensitively sided with the group, which cost the jobs of her friends and co-workers.
“Kayo rin po ba ay natawag na insensitive for speaking up samantalang yung isa ay okay lang na sumuporta sa magnanakaw at sumuporta sa taong naging dahilan kung bakit nawalan ng trabaho yung mga kaibigan niya?”
“‘Di ba sabi n’yo po, respect others’ opinion, pero bakit hindi ako nakakaranas ng respeto? At kung tatanungin po ninyo ako kung sino ang iboboto ko, iboboto ko po yung taong para sa taumbayan. Yung totoong may credentials? Yung nagtatrabaho at transparent na nagtatrabaho ng 18 hours a day…” giit pa ni Pipay.
In the end, Pipay reminded the netizens that what’s she’s doing is not about her but the country’s future for the next six years.
“Please know na I’m not against anyone. Hindi ako galit sa mga nang-aaway sa akin, hindi ako galit sa mga nangka-cancel, sa mga nambabash… nangba-body shame sa kamay ko, sa mukha ko, or everything… but please know na we are talking about the next 6 years of our lives.”
“Please, please, awayin n’yo na ako or not, but, this country is not a circus, so don’t vote for a clown. Okay? Huwag kayong pumayag na ang taong mamumuno sa atin ay ang kaya lamang niyang ipagmalaki ay mga gawa ng tatay niya.”
