‘Pinoy Big Brother’ pounds on Kapamilya core values after Toni Gonzaga’s ‘voluntary exit’

Pinoy Big Brother made a powerful intro last Saturday, February 12, when it welcomed its “Pamilya ni Kuya”  following the exit of Toni Gonzaga as the main host.

Before the new main host Bianca Gonzales and her gang, the camera pans on the Kapamilya core values emphasizing the mission and vision of the network.

The move

Meanwhile, several netizens and Kapamilya personalities react to the PBB’s bold intro.

In a tweet, PBB business unit head Raymund Dizon shared a picture with the new main hosts with the backdrop “Kapamilya” and the caption “Nuff said!”.

Dizon was one of the first to share his disappointment with Toni Gonzaga’s lively introduction of Partylist Rep. Rodante Marcoleta during the Marcos Jr.-Duterte-Carpio proclamation rally.

Director JP Habac also tweeted the intro with a shade on Toni Gonzaga’s “forced eviction”.

“Ito ang second adult eviction night ng Pinoy Big Brother! Ay na-evict na nga pala hehe”.

Kapamilya writer Jerry Gracio meanwhile appealed not to body shame Toni but also said he’s a big no to backstabbers.

“Wag naman, Kapamilya (dahil ang Kapuso at Kapatid ay Kapamilya rin).  No to body shaming tayo. Pero mas malaking NO to backstabbers!”

Former Kapamilya reporter Kevin Manalo also tweeted commending PBB. He said it’s always nice to be reminded of the Kapamilya cores values.

“Very admirable, PBB! It’s always nice to be reminded of the values Kapamilyas uphold and live by. Thank you”

PBB Online host Richard Juan can’t help but exclaim “Goosebumps!!!” with PBB’s opening.

Netizen @antonxvillegas also commended the powerful intro highlighting the network’s core values.

@Benggadora08, on the other hand, reminded stars to treat the production staff well cause they’re two edge swords; either they build you up or bring you down.

“KAYA DON’T EVER PISS OFF THE PROD TEAM KASI AS MUCH AS THEY HAVE THE POWER TO BUILD YOU UP, THEY CAN ALSO BRING YOU DOWN “

Comeback host Kim Chiu meanwhile thanked all the Kapamilya for their continued support. She also thanked and commented on all the people behind PBB.

“Maraming Salamat po for all the love and support na binigay ninyo sa #PBB2ndAdultEviction to all our Kapamilyas maraming salamat po. To entire @PBBabscbn family on and off cam, saludo ako sa inyong lahat. #love and #respect”

The new main host Bianca Gonzales also thanked all the Kapamilya supporters and also the PBB family. Bianca said it was such a grateful, humbling moment for her.

And just like Bianca, her husband JC Intal can’t help but share on social media how proud he is of her wife.
