Actor and senatorial aspirant Robin Padilla claimed on February 3, that Andres Bonifacio was the first victim of extrajudicial killings (EJK).
During his interview in ANC’s Headstart, Padilla shared his thoughts on the brutal anti-drug campaign of the current Administration and EJKs.
His statement received criticism on social media, with netizens questioning Padilla’s information about the National Hero.

Let's help Robin Padilla realize EJK is unlawful and that Andres Bonifacio wasn't a durugista or a pusher.#PrayForRobinPadilla

Other’s criticized his efforts to normalize EJK amid the issue with the anti-drug campaign.
Robin Padilla's "EJK cleansing after every regime change" is actually a standard process of Communist governments.
Padilla is taking in too much nonsense from his idols Joma Sison & Rodrigo Duterte.https://t.co/CRJIl4rt0P

Robin Padilla: EJK part of gov’t’s crime fighting
Could you please confirm it if your statement has been sanctioned by the gov’t so that we could report it to @ICC Thank you, Robin.

Earlier, media outlets fact-checked Padilla’s claims, citing that Bonifacio was put on trial and executed for crimes of treason against then-President Emilio Aguinaldo’s Revolutionary Government.
The art card also quoted Padilla claiming that Filipino hero Andres Bonifacio was the first victim of EJK. This has been proven false by Daily Guardian’s fact-check story.

#FactCheck by @factcheckphils: FALSE
#FactCheckPH #FactsFirstPH

Padilla now has a history of spreading false information, such as his claims that the Spaniards established De La Salle University and his defense of Senator Bong Go, who claimed that Lapu-Lapu was a Tausug.
