On February 15, Kim “Kuya Kim” Atienza hit back at a Twitter comment that claims GMA Network is uncontested. That is why its programs can easily top the free TV leaderboards.
Kuya Kim’s TV show, ‘Dapat Alam Mo’, which originated from GTV, the news and current affairs leg of GMA Network, recently moved to the GMA Network Afternoon Prime line up to replace ‘Wowowin’.
During its pilot on February 14, ‘Dapat Alam Mo’ recorded a 7.2% rating, tied with the Kapamilya series The Broken Marriage Vow in the 5-6th place.
Kuya Kim shared this achievement on Twitter; however, a Kapamilya fandom account replied that their show has no competitor, which is why they easily earned high ratings.

The veteran host then addressed this comment and said that network wars should be erased as these only cause hatred among fans.

The fandom account again replied and pointed out the irony of how Kuya Kim promotes peace between networks but keeps on showing off the ratings of their shows.

Unfortunately too late na. ABS fans will always be ABS fans. Same with GMA fans. Pero pansin ko lang, with ABS gone in free tv, nagsulputan na mga other channels na parang bumalik sa RPN9, IBC13, PTV4 era na wala masyado quality ibang shows (not all)

Kuya Kim, however, remained mum after the rebuttal of the netizen.
Currently, GMA Network dominates free TV aided by their wider reach compared to other networks. As a result, its programs can easily top the leaderboards, and since the exit of ABS-CBN from free TV, its news program ’24 Oras’ held the #1 spot in the rating chart of AGB Nielsen.
Kuya Kim is joined by Emil Sumangil and Patricia Tumulak in hosting ‘Dapat Alam Mo.’
