Broadcast journalist Julius Babao highlighted his 28 years of upbringing in the Kapamilya Network on February 2.
During the media conference for Babao’s welcome in TV5’s Frontline Pilipinas, he affirmed that ABS-CBN taught him right as a broadcast journalist.
“I will not be here with you guys, sa TV5, kung hindi ako pinalaki ng ABS-CBN ng tama, so I always look at ABS-CBN as ‘yun ‘yung mga magulang ko na nagpalaki sa akin.”
Although he considered ABS-CBN as a parent, Babao reached the point wherein he had to build a life outside the Network.
He then expressed amazement at the lack of bashers on social media after he announced his transfer to TV5, citing that he parted with ABS-CBN on good terms.
We parted ways in good terms.
He then noted that he has no plans of changing his persona as a news person now that he’s part of TV5.
“Not so much, kasi what else can you do, alangan naman mag stay at home vlog ako. Kung gusto niyo pong makita ang different side ni Julius Babao not in Frontline Pilipinas, makikita niyo ‘yan sa YouTube Channel ko, kasi there’s a different side of me na mahilig sa art, mahilig sa sneakers, a fun person.”
After 28 years in the Kapamilya network, Babao announced his transfer to TV5 in December 2021.
Babao will join TV5’s Frontline Pilipinas, starting February 7, every 5:30 PM, live on TV5 and via Livestream at News5 Facebook and YouTube pages.
