Kapamilya actor Joshua Colet described his married life and husband to his wife, VJ Dani Mortel on February 4.
During the media conference for an upcoming iWant TFC series, The Goodbye Girl, Colet said he grew more with his wife Mortel when they got married.
“It’s Amazing! ‘Yun lang talaga kasi marami akong kaibigan na kasal na at ‘yun ang lagi nila sinasabi na masaya siya, it’s amazing, and you really develop with your parther differently pag kinasal na kayo. And it might not be the same for everybody, pero para sa akin ganon eh, parang we grew more together noong kinasal na kami. So bottomline, amazing, super saya.”
He noted that he found someone to grow old with when he decided to marry Mortel.
He clarified that his relationship views didn’t change much after becoming a married man.
“Pero with relationship views, wala masyado nagbago. kasi dati ever since ganito naman talaga ako eh. Parang we just took a road together, and I just found the right person to grow with, ‘yun lang. So walang masyadong views na nag change. Ang nangyari lang, I found somebody who has similar views as me, kaya it worked out.”
Colet recalled how he knew that Mortel was the one for him, noting that he didn’t rush into things.
“I think a lot of people can relate with me when I say na you just know. Malalaman mo lang ‘yung talaga. It takes time, parang ‘yung sinabi ko nga kanina, bakit nagbubulag-bulagan ang mga tao, kasi minamadali nila ‘yung proseso, nagpapadala sila sa emosyon. So pagka tumagal ka sa relationship at alam mong tama talaga ‘yung tao para sayo, malalaman mo lang.”
He and Mortel tied the knot in October of 2021 despite the challenges brought by the pandemic.
The Goodbye Girl, based on Noreen Capili’s best-selling book, stars Kapamilya actors Angelica Panganiban, JC De Vera, and RK Bagatsing.
The six-episode digital series tackles different stories of heartbreaks and relationships.
Aside from the main cast, it also includes other Kapamilya artists such as Loisa Andalio, Barbie Imperial, Maris Racal, Elisse Joson, Rico Blanco, Turs Daza, Ronnie Alonte, and Joshua Colet.
The Goodbye Girl streams on iWant TFC starting February 14, on Valentine’s Day.
