Kapuso programs continue to dominate the AGB Nielsen leaderboards as it remains free from any competition against other networks.
For February 19 the Top 20 Most-Watched programs are all from GMA Network. While for February 20, one show is from TV5 and the rest were all Kapuso programs.
The drama anthology Magpakailanman returned as the #1 program for Saturday with a 13.4%. Agimat ng Agila ranked #2 with 12.7%, followed by Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento that earned a 9.8% rating.
The news show 24 Oras Weekend is in the fourth spot with an 8.0% rating, and completing the Top 5 is the comedy show Daddy’s Gurl.
The afternoon program Imbestigador and Wish Ko Lang are tied in the 6th-7th spot with a 6.4%. They are followed by another afternoon program Tadhana earned a 5.5% rating. The longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga settled at the #9 spot with a 5.1% rating, while Prima Donnas had 5.0%.
GTV’s G! Flicks got a 4.7% rating, ranking 11th in the chart. Susan Enriquez’s Pera Paraan ranked 12th with a 3.5% rating. Fictional TV series Dragon Ball Z and Ultraman R B received 3.2% and 3.0%, respectively.
Three shows were tied in the 15th – 17th place—I Witness, Yo-Kai Watch Shadowside, and Angry Birds Toons--all had 3.0%.
Also included in the Top 20 are Sarap ‘Di Ba? (2.9%), Good News Kasama si Vicky Morales (2.6%) and Pinas Sarap (2.5%).
For Sunday, the magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho is solid as the Most-Watched program that earned a 16.7% on February 20. John Lloyd Cruz’s sitcom Happy ToGetHer ranked second with 13.3% and the news program 24 Oras Weekend followed with a 12.9% rating. Ranking next are Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko, and Amazing Earth had 10.5% and 5.9%, respectively.
The pilot of the new Sunday show, The Best Ka became a hit with viewers and occupied the #6 spot with a 5.1% rating. GMA Blockbusters and Regal Studio Presents were tied in the 7th-8th spot with 4.5%.
The Boobay and Tekla Show and Farm to Table were also tied in the 9th-10th spot with 4.2%.
Kapuso Movie Festival ranked 11th with a 3.8% rating. Following this, are All Out Sundays and I Juander that tied in the 12th-13th spot with a 3.7% rating. The manga series Fairytail and Slamdunk ranked 15th and 16th with 2.7% and 2.6%, respectively.
Other shows included in the Top 20 are I-Bilib (2.5%), Born To Be Wild (2.4%), and tied in the last two ranks are Angry Birds Stella, and Detective Conan (2.3%).
Due to GMA Network’s wider audience reach compared to other networks, its programs have no competition during the weekend thus, its programs can easily dominate the rating chart.
