Kapamilya longest-running action-drama teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano remained unbothered by its latest rival.
On Monday, February 14, 2020, GMA Network premiered its latest drama series First Lady, which is the sequel to the successful series, First Yaya.
First Lady’s pilot episode as expected won the rating game with 14.4%, 4.3% higher than the Coco Martin-starrer series’ 10.1%.
But the “immortal” Kapamilya teleserye is not affected as it continues to rule the digitalspace.
Based on its YouTube views, the six-year-old teleserye averaged 800 thousand views on the week of February 14, while First Lady only managed an average of 190 thousand.
FPJ Ang Probinsyano also proved to be a powerhouse in digital streaming as it is the only Filipino teleserye that recorded the all-time high concurrent views.
On November 15, it peaked at more than 171 thousand concurrent views in Kapamilya Online Live. It’s the current all-time high.
Aside from concurrent views, FPJ Ang Probinsyano also proved to be the rating king. Despite the teleserye’s limited reach through A2Z Channel 11 and TV5, it still managed to reclaim its rating’s throne as the most-watch teleserye in the country.
On February 1, the Kapamilya program snatched the rating’s leadership from I Left My Heart in Sorsogon, 11.8% vs 11.2%. It even improved its lead the next day, February 2 as it registered a rating of 12.2% vs ILMHIS’ 11.2%.
On February 3, it got its highest since the ABS-CBN shutdown as it scored 12.7% vs its Kapuso rival’s 12.4%.
With these achievements, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano can be unaffected as it managed to slay in the competition along with all its rivals for the past 6 years.
