First Lady, the sequel to the 2021 top-rater Kapuso series First Yaya, premiered on February 14 on the GMA Network’s Telebabad lineup. It replaced I Left My Heart in Sorsogon.
On its pilot week, First Lady took over the #2 spot of AGB Nielsen’s Top 20 Most-Watched programs list, making it the Most-Watched drama nationwide.
On February 14, First Lady earned a 14.2% rating and established a 4.2% gap against rival FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
First Lady was also able to surpass I Left My Heart in Sorsogon, that earned a 13.6% rating for its finale episode.
The following day, the rating of First Lady improved to 14.8%, but it maintained a 4.2% gap against its rival.
On February 15, First Lady‘s rating rose to 15.5%, and so, its gap against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano increased to 5.1%.
However, the following day, its rating dropped to 13.4% while FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano came closer with 11.0%.
First Lady failed to sustain the high ratings of its prequel, First Yaya which earned a 23% rating during its pilot and 19.2% on its finale episode.
First Lady stars Sanya Lopez in the title role. From being a nanny, she will now step up as the first lady of President Glenn Acosta (Gabby Concepcion).
She finally started her journey in the limelight but, challenges arise as many people wonder if she is rightful to be the President’s wife.
As the story intensifies, will First Lady be able to recover its ratings and keep up with First Yaya’s dominion back then?
