Many netizens speculated that film producer Neil Arce and film director Darryl Yap had an exchange of ‘fiery’ comments against each other online.
On Thursday, February 3, via facebook, Arce expressed his dismay about “the worst director in the country” because of the parody that he did.
Arce wrote, “IM not surprised that The worst director in The country has no morals whatsoever. Cool ka na ba dahil sa parody mo mumshie? Dami mo viewers no? FYI ang t*e kahit balutan mo ng ginto t*e pa rin.”
One netizen informed Yap of Arce’s post about him.
On Thursday, February 10, Yap supposedly responded to Arce that his project opened jobs for the jobless. He also reminded the fight is all about “content versus content.’
Yap wrote, “1. Sa dami ng jobless ngayon, kung nagka job sila sa Demolition Job na yan, sino ako para magmaasim; nabigyan ko sila ng trabaho, if you can’t destroy a content via another content- destroy the creator; yan ang panaya ng mga talunan.
“2. sinabi nya yon? Talaga? Ok na siguro yun. kaysa naman ang itawag sa akin ay “asawa ni…”
In the comment section of Yap’s post, a netizen shared a screenshot of Arce’s supposed response to his facebook post.
Without mentioning any name, Arce implied in his post that he is happy because the “director” knew it was him he was talking about.
“Masaya na ako na narealize mo na ikaw yung director na tinutukoy ko. At least alam ko na alam mo na ikaw yun description pa lang. Feel free to insult me because you made me very very happy na alam mo na ikaw yun,” the husband of Angel Locsin said.
A netizen pointed out that Arce was hurt because of the “asawa ni…” comment of Yap but the latter insisted that he is “happy.”
Referring to the “happy” comment of Arce, Yap said that it was like a reply coming from a Grade 3 student.
Yap said in the comment section of his post, “Hahaha. reply grade 3. Tingin nga ng Happy?”
