On February 16, Wednesday, Kapamilya star Dawn Chang said she is waiting for the proof from veteran showbiz columnist and anchor Cristy Fermin about her alleged “seducing ABS-CBN bosses” to enjoy tenure in the Kapamilya Network.
“Naghihintay din ako ng pruweba. Ang tagal. Hahaha,” replied Chang to a netizen asking about the validity of Fermin’s claim.

She drew the wrath of Fermin after the former criticized Toni Gonzaga’s controversial hosting job at the Marcos Jr-Duterte-Carpio proclamation rally.
In an episode of Cristy Fer Minute on February 10, the showbiz columnist claimed, “Pabash-bash ka pa, ikaw ang dapat i-bash dahil wala kang mararating kung hindi ka nakikipaglandian sa mga boss!”
The former GirlTrends member “understood” why the entertainment columnist targeted her, she said in a separate tweet.

Though most netizens expressed support to Chang, some sided with Fermin.
A troll ridiculed her stature as an artist for voicing out her political opinions.
It received a reply from the Kapamilya star silencing her basher. She pointed out that popularity should not be a basis for anyone to do the right thing.

In the meantime, both camps are demanding a public apology from each other.
Chang’s lawyers first sought an apology from Fermin since they believed that Fermin abused her freedom of speech by stating a baseless claim.
On the other hand, the columnist retaliated by insisting that she should not be the one making amends since the Kapamilya star damaged her reputation.
As of this writing, no one has given in to their respective demands.
