On Wednesday, February 9, Daniel Padilla, Sally Ponce-Enrile, and Jake Ejercito channeled their inner Dr. Jose Rizal as they chose not to follow their respective family’s presidential bet.
They really took it to heart when the Philippine National Hero said, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.”
Karla Estrada, Daniel’s mother, was appointed to represent the Tingog Party-list, a member of the UniTeam alliance led by presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. She was also present in the grand proclamation rally of BBM.
Meanwhile, her son liked a post of Dong Abay that says, “Ang mga Pilipinong sumusuporta at nagtatanggol sa mga pulitikong trapo tulad ng mga Marcos at Duterte ay mga langaw na nakapalibot sa tae,” hinting that he and his mother does not share the same candidates.

Estrada then explained through her social media that their family does not influence one another’s opinions, especially in politics.

Juan Ponce Enrile’s daughter-in-law Sally shocked netizens after revealing who she will support: Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo.
The former senator and his daughter Katrina met with Marcos on November 6, 2021. The latter was endorsed to be a congressional bet in the first district of Cagayan under the banner of Lakas-CMD, a political party under UniTeam.

On the other hand, Ejercito has a very complicated life decision after having his father and brother, former President Joseph Estrada, and former senator Jinggoy Estrada allied with Marcos.
However, the Kapamilya young actor was very vocal that he supported Robredo. Jake even protested Ferdinand Marcos Sr.’s burial in the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
In his latest tweet, he explained that he is doing it for his daughter and the country’s sake.

However, her grandmother, Nora Aunor, gave her support to Marcos. She even shared a photo on her Facebook page wearing a hoodie with a “BBM” written.
Back in September 2022, Robredo cited that among the reasons for her decision to run for president was to prevent another Marcos from leading the country.
