Seasoned actress Cherry Pie Picache compared her forgiveness of the murder of her mother, Zenaida Sison, to Vice President Leni Robredo’s bravery on a campaign video on February 18, 2022.
Picache recalled the painful memory of her mother’s murder in 2014 after a failed robbery attempt. She said she learned to be brave and endure because of that tragedy.
“Dahil dun, natuto ako. Natuto ako na tatagan ang puso ko. Natuto ako na maging matapang.”
She then compared her emotional journey to VP Robredo’s term since 2016, noting that the presidential candidate is braver than her.
Manindigan. Yung mag-alaga nang may pagkalinga at buong katapatan.”
“May mas matapang sa akin. Si Leni Robredo yun.”
She recalled how VP Robredo faced her detractors as a government official.
She then noted that her mother would have chosen VP Robredo for the presidential seat.
In 2019, Picache faced her mother’s alleged murderer, Michael Flores, and forgave him five years after Blanca’s murder.
Picache is one of the many celebrities who showed support to VP Robredo, especially during her proclamation rally.
