This Kapuso Month, GMA Music and its sub-label GMA Playlist feature love in all forms and genres with the launch of multiple songs performed by talented Kapuso artists across various digital platforms.
First on the list is GMA International, as it pays homage to the Filipinos’ resilience and passion for their own country wherever they are in the world with “Stronger Together.” Masterfully performed by Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose and the all-female vocal group XOXO, the song is also GMA Pinoy TV’s umbrella campaign for the year-round celebration of its 16th anniversary. The song is now available on music platforms worldwide.
On the other hand, Psalms David, XOXO, and Thea Astley celebrate GMA Artist Center’s new look and name this 2022 with Sparkle’s theme song “Let It Spark.” Sparkle is here to propel GMA Artist Center to even greater heights. The song was released last February 8.
GMA Music also features The Clash Season 4 finalists with “The Clash 4 Finalists Sing Originals.” The finalists showcase their singing prowess with “Bakit Mahal Pa Rin Kita” by The Clash Season 4 Grand Champion Mariane Osabel; “Umuwi Ka Na” by Vilmark Viray; “Make Your Dreams Come True” by Julie Serad; “Sigaw ng Puso” by Mauie Francisco; “Kampeon” by Rare Columna; and “Isang Taon” by Lovely Restituto.
On February 22, the music spotlight will be on the well-loved theme songs and soundtracks of top-rating Kapuso shows in “Your Kapuso Favorite Hits Original Backing Tracks, vol. 1.” This album is a compilation of original minus-one versions for fans to sing along to their favorite Kapuso theme songs. These include “Our Love” for I Left My Heart In Sorsogon; “Pagmamahal Mo” for Legal Wives; “Munting Hiling” for The Penthouse; “More Than Before” for To Have and To Hold; “Kay Sarap Mong Mahalin” for Stories from the Heart: Loving Miss Bridgette; and “Ang Puso Kong Ito’y Sa’yo” for First Yaya. Additional tracks on the album are “I Need To Know,” “Two of A Kind,” “Maghihintay,” “Going Crazy,” “Pusong Pinoy,” and “Magpakailanman.”
Meanwhile, listeners can also expect fresh music from GMA Playlist’s handpicked singers. The sub-label of GMA Music promises tunes that will “capture the hearts of millennials and Generation Z fans who are craving for something hip and new.”
The soundtracks of Stories from the Heart: The End of Us “Pwede Ba” by Lyra Micolob of XOXO and “Vow” by Brent Valdez are now available for streaming.
Debuting as well this month is the soundtrack of GMA Afternoon Prime’s Las Hermanas sang by its stellar main cast: “Nag-iisang Yakap” by Thea Tolentino; “Hanap Rin Ba?” by Yasmien Kurdi; and “Wag Na Lang” by Faith Da Silva. Their singles are already available for streaming.
Set to be available for streaming beginning February 22 is the soundtrack of Prima Donnas with its theme song “Huwag Kang Susuko,” sang by The Clash Season 3 Grand Champion Jessica Villarubin. Kapuso teen star Jillian Ward will also showcase her melodious voice in “First Love Na Nga Ba?,” “Bukod Tangi,” and “Kaibigan.”
On February 25, Sparkle star Faith Da Silva will also be releasing her first single, “Sana Sabihin Mo Na Lang,” a song about holding on and letting go.
