On February 10, artist Angelina Cruz admitted that she had experiences related to her latest emotional single, Ayoko Lang.
During the media conference for her music release, Cruz said she resonated with her song not just with romantic relationships but with past experiences related to healing after suffering from emotional pain.
“I feel like most of us here, if not everyone, has experienced past relationships, past experiences, personal pains, or having to heal pain from something or someone. Kaya, of course, I was really able to resonate with this–with the past experiences.
“Kahit hindi romantic relationships, basta relatable, relatable talaga siya. [Be]cause it’s not only about having to heal from past relationships but from ‘certain’ pains as well.”
She then shared the meaning behind her single Ayoko Lang, noting that it’s about the struggles of moving on.
“I feel everyone here has experienced having to heal from anything–basta healing po siya. The song is really about– struggling [with] having to heal. And I feel like everyone has struggled to heal and to move on.”
She then admitted that she also experienced getting rejected by someone she had a crush on or was in a mutual understanding phase.
“I feel like mga mga crushes, mga M.U. does that fall in love ba? Mga crushes, mga M.U, having to move on from them, I’ve experienced being rejected din.
“I feel like everyone experiences being rejected naman, so yeah, that’s reality, that’s life. I have to take things day by day and move on from that.”
