Any form of abuse in a relationship will never be okay for Angeli Khang, the star of the sexy-drama film Silip Sa Apoy, Friday, January 28.
“No. Never ever tolerate abuse sa love,” the sexy actress stressed during the virtual media conference of the film.
She explained that whenever respect exists between couples, being violent is impossible.
“Respect is everything. When you respect that person, kahit murahin mo, sabihan mo nang masasakit na bagay, sobrang hirap, hindi mo magagawa ‘yon.”
In the movie, Khang plays Emma, a battered housewife who accidentally falls in love with her neighbor.
Her character was admittingly draining, according to the sexy actress.
“Yes, of course. Lagi akong nade-drain lalo na kapag sa mga abuse.”
Thankfully, her cast members, Sid Lucero and Paolo Gumabao, were there to cheer her up. Khang revealed that they always try to lighten up the mood whenever a heavy scene is shot.
“After noong mga scenes, mga abuse, and sexy scenes, inaantay nila ako na… may foods, laging may ka-jamming, and we always sing a song para ma-ligthen up ang mood after the scene. Thankful ako na sobrang alagang-alaga ako especially ng mga guys,” she expressed.
The sexy actress also considers all her suffering in Silip Sa Apoy as an achievement, adding, “‘Pag nakuha ko ‘to, this is something that I would be proud to tell my parents and my family and friends na, ‘guys ginawa ko yung best ko dito and nakuha ko ang kung anong gusto sa akin ni Direk.'”
Directed by Mac Alejandre, the movie is now available for streaming on Vivamax.
