Kapamilya artists Alexa Ilacad and KD Estrada revealed on February 22, the story behind the viral photo of them hugging.
During the media conference for their upcoming FanCon/Concert event, Closer, Ilacad considered the photo a paparazzi moment.
“Grabe ang galing, parang ang daming paparazzi.”
Estrada then shared why Alexa was there at that moment when their fans caught the candid moment.
“Grabe ang daming paparrazi last night. But ayun, actually, super unexpected ‘yung pagkikita namin. We were supposed to meet at a later date. [Alexa] was around the area because she did her hair.
“Just to meet up–I want to see her na eh.”
She admitted she felt surprised and in awe by the fans who photographed them together.
“Sinend ko nga kay KD, sabi ko ‘Oh my God, how did they get this–who took this?’ Napapaganon na lang ako na parang, ha wala namang tao nun. Hindi ko rin alam kung sino ‘yung kumuha nun ang galing.”
The viral photo trended on social media on February 22, where netizens spotted both stars hugging each other at a nearby elevator.

As for their FanCon/Concert event, the two young stars will get close and personal with their fans in Closer: The KDLex Fancon.
Their concert event will happen on Saturday (February 26) at 8 pm via KTX and SKY Pay-Per-View.
