Jimmy Bondoc, Manuel Castañeda, and Richard Poon on Thursday, February 10 took the side of host-turned vlogger Toni Gonzaga, who is being ridiculed due to her introduction of Rep. Rodante Marcoleta.
Bondoc, an appointee of President Rodrigo Duterte as the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) President for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Group, shared how people could easily forget what Gonzaga did during the height of ABS-CBN shut down.
Meanwhile, Castañeda, a veteran director, trended as he revealed that many artists and employees share the sentiment of Gonzaga. He said that like her, most people in the entertainment industry will never vote for Vice President and presidential aspirant Leni Robredo.
The filmmaker noted, however, that most of anti-Robredo were afraid to voice out their choice given the “aggressiveness” of her supporters. Castañeda added that the haters of VP Leni were also increasing because of her devotees.
Singer Poon, on the other hand, did a pseudo- contradiction in the director’s post.
He said, “Di totoo ‘yan!!!” with matching angry emojis. He even added hashtags like #DILAWANSlangAngDISENTE, #DILAWANSlangHindiBastos, and many more to “prove” a point.
Gonzaga was criticized after introducing Marcoleta, one of the congressmen who helped shut down ABS-CBN, during the proclamation rally of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
