On January 13, Kapamilya actor Zaijian Jaranilla expressed his hopes that his role in The Broken Marriage Vow would help him break free from his image as May Bukas Pa’s Santino.
During the media conference for The Broken Marriage Vow, Jaranilla said he wants people to see him as an actor aside from his role in ABS-CBN’s inspirational series.
He then proudly highlighted his role in the upcoming Kapamilya drama.
He also recalled an anecdote about fans still referring to him as ‘Santino.’
He then thanked the fans who supported him throughout the years.
Jaranilla’s first breakout project is his role of Santino in the 2009 inspirational teleserye May Bukas Pa.
After that, he went on to do multiple projects, such as several episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya and Bagani.
As for his newest Kapamilya teleserye, Jaranilla stars in The Broken Marriage Vow, alongside Kapamilya actors Jodi Sta. Maria, Zanjoe Marudo, and Sue Ramirez.
The Philippine adaptation of the hit BBC series Doctor Foster premieres on iWantTFC on January 22 and on Kapamilya Channel, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, and TFC on January 24.
