On Thursday, December 23, Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi expressed her desire to work with the international star and Broadway Diva Lea Salonga in a project.
Gustung-gusto ko po siyang makasama,” she said during her virtual media interview.
Kurdi said that Salonga’s versatility [as a performer] made her idolize the latter.
Kurdi, also a singer, was aiming to re-ignite her music career. She already had two albums under her name, In the Name of Love (2005) and Love is All I Need (2007).
Kahit after how many years sana magka-single ako ulit.”
The actress also hopes of having her songs become theme songs of Kapuso shows.
She also wants to do movies. Her last film was in 2009, where she provided the voice of Rukia Kuchiki in Bleach: Memories of Nobody.
“Ang last movie ko last 2009 pa. Tapos hindi na ako nagka-movie ever since.”
Kurdi said she wants to be part of a slice-of-life movie project.
P’wede mga historical, why not?
The actress renewed her ties with GMA Network on December 16.
She currently plays Dorothy in the afternoon show Las Hermanas.
