On Thursday, January 6, Vivoree Esclito shared her thoughts about fake news and haters, saying it is always a part of an artist’s career.
“I think being in this industry, it’s kinda normal na yung may mga fake news na parang sisiraan ka talaga ng mga tao lalo na nung mga hate na hate ka or no reason,” she pointed during the virtual media conference for the third season of the anthology series Click, Like, Share.
Esclito even had her fair share of fake news, recalling when she was criticized despite not knowing the whole truth.
“There are times lalo na before, they spread fake news about me na hindi talaga nila alam ang tunay na side ko which is sobrang unfortunate. Kasi nangyari talaga siya outside showbiz, hindi lang sa showbiz pero nangyari talaga siya sa ibang places like kahit sa work and sa school may mga paninira pa rin na nangyayari.”
She reminded herself to “rise to the occasion” and charge it to experience, hoping that people would stop trying to “bring each other down.”
“Let’s learn from that na sana hindi na mangyari yung mga paninira. Kasi I just hope na we all just lift each other instead of bringing each other down.”
For those who had a similar experience, she advised them to keep pressing forward.
“Daanan mo lang! Pagdaanan mo siya. If nasasaktan ka, masaktan ka, okay lang ‘yon. Okay lang maging malungkot, pagdaanan mo kung ano yung kailangan mong pagdaanan or maramdaman,” she stressed.
If feeling down, Esclito suggested that talking to family and close friends might help lessen the feeling.
“Talk to someone kasi may mga bagay talaga or situations na we can’t do alone. So open up to anyone yung mga pinaka-trusted mo talaga especially to your family if they are open-minded din,” she continued.
Seeking guidance from the Lord is also the best way to hurdle such challenging times, says Esclito.
Meanwhile, Click, Like, Share is her first lead role in a series, starring in the show’s QR Code episode. Nevertheless, the young talent considers all her roles important, no matter how big or small.
“Lahat naman kasi nang characters na nabibigay sa’kin I’m very grateful for. Kasi if you have a passion for acting talaga, parang it really doesn’t matter that much kung ano yung characters na gagampanan mo. As long as they speak volume and meaningful or like memorable yung character, kahit yung experience man lang for you,” she explained
Esclito then expressed how grateful she is for the opportunity, thanking Star Magic and her RISE Artist management for the trust.
“But s’yempre sobrang grateful din kasi dati pangarap ko lang siya and wala akong mas’yadong projects before. But now that I’m under RISE and Star Magic, sobrang laking pasasalamat ko sa management ko for giving me the opportunities lalo na sa mga bosses. To my supporters as well, my family and friends na lagi akong sinusuportahan,” she thanked.
Click, Like, Share is under the direction of director Andoy Ranay and will be streaming on iWantTFC starting Wednesday, January 21, at 8 p.m.
