Vice also walked down the red carpet and entered the grand ball in his veiled silver metallic ornament-inspired gown. He then changed into a pink feathered-motif dress to give his opening remarks during the event.
He revealed that the idea of hosting the first UnkabogaBall started after he saw Inah Evans’ post, which made him want to meet the new generation of LGBTQIA+ influencers.
“I want to be the bridge to create a relationship amongst all of us,” said Vice.
He then expressed his hopes of starting a supportive community between the LGBTQIA+ people in the country.
“So dami nating ‘to, siguro ang saya nun kung lahat gina-guide natin ‘yung isa’t-isa para kung may natatapilok, may nangangarag, imbis na–bukod sa kino-call out, why not start a community that helps one another. Why not start a community that helps and supports each other.”
The comedian also answered questions from the young LGBTQIA+ influencers present at the event, such as Pipay Kipay, Sassa Gurl, Gaia Polyhymnia, Queen Pia Paolo, and Joevin of Bakla ng Taon.
The event also had performances courtesy of drag artists O’ Divas, Awra Briguela and Argie Roquero, and iDolls (Matty Juniosa, Lucas Garcia, Enzo Almario).
