TV Patrol is finally back on free TV via A2Z Channel 11 as it aired its comeback edition on Saturday, January 1.
The last newscast was aired in May 2020 via Channel 2 after ABS-CBN’s 25-year franchise expired. The Network ceased operations of its free TV and radio channels.
It got aired via cable and the Internet since then.
It is ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast and the longest-running Filipino language evening edition.
It premiered on March 2, 1987. Bernadette Sembrano, Henry Omaga-Diaz, and Karen Davila anchored the said edition. Previous anchors included Noli de Castro, Korina Sanchez, Ted Failon, Mel Tiangco, and Julius Babao.
Bro. Eddie Villanueva, the Jesus Is Lord Church founder and Chairman of ZOE Broadcasting Network, aired a statement about TV Patrol’s return to free TV via Facebook on Sunday, January 2.
The evangelist leader said that this is a granted wish for those who longed to see TV Patrol again on free TV.
“Ito po ang purpose po talaga ay para magkaroon ng full information at full enlightenment,” Villanueva said.
