At a virtual interview on Friday, January 14, Kapuso star Sofia Pablo revealed that her return as Len Len in the second book of Prima Donnas was unexpected.
The 15-year-old Kapuso star is thankful to be back in the GMA-7’s top-rating drama because she had lost hope of coming back after being pulled out in 2020.
Back then, Pablo was not allowed to join the lock-in taping in 2020 because of the age restriction set by COVID-19 safety protocols for celebrities below 15 years old.
Turning 15 last April 2021, she was already allowed to go to shoots based on the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) guidelines.
“Kasi nung sinabi po sakin na ‘Sofia, we tried our best pero hindi ka na talaga makakabalik’ akala ko po talaga hindi na po ako makakabalik kahit kailan,” said Pablo.
She received an invitation for Prima Donnas’ cast meeting but was hesitant to attend because she is no longer part of the series. However, Pablo still chose to participate and was shocked when Director Gina Alajar announced that they’re blessed to have a season 2.
“Kasi I think nung panahon naman po na ‘yun, no one expected na magkakaroon kami ng book 2 o ng season 2 kaya talagang nalungkot po ako. Kasi ‘yung nangyari po non, nung sinabi sa amin, nag-chat po sila sa group. Sabi nila, join kayo sa zoom meeting, so ako, sabi ko, hala magjo-join pa ko? E wala na ako. So ayun, nagulat po ako nung sinabi nila na ‘we are officially renewed for another season!’” she stated.
Pablo is utterly delighted to be part of Prima Donnas‘ comeback. She is thankful to be given another chance to return and be part of the series for the second time.
The Kapuso star said that she would use this opportunity to prove that she was worthy of her character.
“Super saya ko po talaga ‘non kasi it’s like another chance for me to prove myself again. Na, I am worth it for being Donna Lyn,” she added.
Prima Donnas Book 2 fresh episodes will begin on January 24 on GMA Afternoon Prime.
