On January 21, Viva artist Cara Gonzales chose between prioritizing her love life or her career.
During the media conference for her upcoming Vivamax movie, The Wife, Gonzales said she would not choose between love and career because she could pursue both.
“Kung ilalagay ko ‘yung situation ko para sa future, kung magiging wife na ako, love and career? Hindi naman natin kailangan mamili. Pwede naman nating pagsabayin. Pero kung kailangan ma-sacrifice, kasi career, tinuring ko talaga siyang trabaho tapos passion ko.”
She noted that she wouldn’t set aside her passion for acting right away once she had her own family.
“Hindi mo siya basta-basta mahihiwalay ‘yung passion mo, ‘yung kinagawian mo para sa magiging asawa mo ng bigla-bigla lang. Siguro it takes time, lahat, sa career it takes time, sa pag-aasawa it takes time. Lahat binibigyan ng oras para diyan.”
She also clarified that she hadn’t thought of settling down anytime soon but amended that she would love to have a family of her own.
“So sa akin, hindi ko pa maiisip kung anong mangyayari in the future, kasi hindi pa ako dumadating sa point na mahal-mahalan talaga. Pag-aasawa na talaga ‘yung thinking. Para sa akin, lahat naman tayo gusto magkaroon ng Pamilya, so siguro pag dumating ‘yung time na about sa family kailangan ko din bigyan ng time ‘yun, hindi lang sa trabaho.”
Gonzales recently started her career as an actress with multiple Viva productions in 2021, such as Gusto kong Maging Pornstar 2, Palitan, and Hugas.
Now she stars in the Vivamax Original movie that gives a fascinating look into relationships, directed by Denise O’Hara alongside Louise Delos Reyes and Diego Loyzaga.
