On January 4, Kapamilya actors Paulo Avelino and Janine Gutierrez hinted at their on-and-off set bonding in their romantic comedy series, Marry Me, Marry You.
During the media conference for the finale of the series, a reporter linked Avelino and Gutierrez’s chemistry on the screen to their co-stars and ‘kilig-inducing couple’ Cherry Pie Picache and Edu Manzano, better known as PieDu.
Gutierrez admitted that she does feel ‘inggit’ with Picache and Manzano’s sweetness on the set.
“Lahat kami naiinggit kay Miss Pie at Tito Edu kapag nakikita namin silang magkasama.
“Sinasabi ko lang na walang tatalo sa ka-sweetan nila kasi.”
Avelino jested that he was waiting for Gutierrez before pursuing romantic advances to his co-star.
“Si Janine lang naman po ‘yung hinihintay lagi eh. So, kung–tignan natin kung hindi kami masyadong busy this year, at may mga sari-sarili naman kaming gagawin for this year rin.”
Attendees of the event were all smiles at the banters of the two leads.
In November, reports confirmed that Gutierrez and her former beau, Rayver Cruz broke up, making the former and Marry Me Marry You star available and single. The teasing between her and Avelino got intensified.
Earlier, Gutierrez was also in the 100 Most Beautiful Faces for 2021. Gutierrez said she felt honored and flattered for the recognition.
“Flatterred, flattered. I think pinaka maganda naman mga Filipina. I’m honored–I guess.
“Beauty secret? Ano nga ba? I think it really has to come from inside na masaya ka, and you also make the people around you happy. I think ‘yun talaga ‘yun.”
