With her undoubted success in 2021, Maris Racal is back with a bang with her new single, “Pumila Ka.” The dancehall inspired electro-pop single talks about not taking shortcuts when it comes to reaching one’s goals.
“Pumila Ka” also features one of Balcony Entertainment’s red hot discoveries – raven, who added some fun and playful bars he’s getting known for, making “Pumila Ka” a treat to listen to.
The song, which is also produced and co-composed by Rico Blanco, still pays homage to Maris’s Bisaya roots. With lines such as “Pumila ka na muna sa huli, ako na ang nakauna diri” and “Akoa ni, akoa, akoa ni,” Maris is proud to take ownership of the success and fame that she has now.
The music video features not just the synth-driven song, but also Maris’s underrated dancing skills. Maris also took fashion to the next level as she’s seen in seven costumes throughout the music video – one of which features a neon ensemble that reacts to UV light!
For sure, “Pumila Ka” is just a teaser of what’s more to come from Maris this year!
