Singer-songwriter and emerging artist, Job Luzon, finally makes his debut release under O/C Records with new track, ‘maneho’.
maneho talks about feeling and understanding the wonders of love through simple things — expressing heartfelt emotions through small yet meaningful gestures.
“maneho is a song that tackles how love can be as simple as wanting to be alone with someone who you want to spend your joyrides with,” says Job.
Inspired by the concept of “driving with someone you love the most, in the middle of the night, as a form of love language or affection,” Job shares that this track was written and produced with an objective to make people feel in love regardless of their current romantic status.
His drive to depict this romantic story through his music springs from his intent to illuminate the universality and power of love.
“All the songs I’ve written talk about love but in different forms. maneho talks about romantic love. It’s very important for me as a songwriter to share love this way because there’s so much about love that we can talk and write and sing and learn about,” he shares.
maneho offers various “metaphors and descriptive phrases,” which underscores Job’s passion for both music and literature. It echoes a rhythmic sound progression that
features a combination of Pop and R&B — highlighting a mixture of chill and romantic tune as it sonically approaches a “modern but kind of retro vibe.”
“It’s actually sonically cohesive to the songs that I have been writing, and I can’t wait to showcase the other tracks I have. I am very much excited to release maneho because it kind of shows everyone what to expect from my music in general,” Job shares.
He notes that getting signed under O/C Records where he has been given the “authority to have artistic freedom” will unveil the kind of musician that he is —one that “writes and values his own stuff,” and it begins with his single, maneho.
