GMA Network’s newest series, Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune joined the Top 5 Most-Watched programs during its pilot telecast.
On January 3, the series premiered under the Telebabad lineup at 9:45 pm timeslot. It replaced Movie Holidates, which aired fifteen movies during the holiday season (in December).
On its pilot episode, it earned a 6.9% rating, ranking fifth in the rating chart of NUTAM.
The following day, it remained in the fifth spot but, its rating improved to 7.7%.
Mano Po Legacy: The Family Fortune had the same pilot day rating with Movie Holidates, however, the latter failed to maintain its rating as it dropped to 6.5% on its second day.
The new Kapuso series also trended on twitter during its pilot. Viewers appreciated its cinematic quality and the superb acting of the cast members.

Regal Entertainment’s Mano Po’s legacy, as one of the most successful Filipino films of all time, got extended to a TV series through its collaboration with the GMA network.
The story revolves around the sudden demise of a Chinese business tycoon that left his family members in a conflict–as to who should claim the fortune left by the deceased.
Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, Maricel Laxa, Boots Anson-Roa, Rob Gomez, Sunshine Cruz, Dustin Yu, Nikki Co, Darwin Yu, and Casie Banks composed the series.
