Enchong Dee imparted his frustrations on people who commit theft and said–it is better to be stingy with hard-earned money.
The Kapamilya actor shared his tips on how to handle and grow money. It was through Jhai Ho’s November 2021 #HotspotThePodcast.
Dee got asked if he got hurt every time people accused him of being stingy.
“I think, nagkaroon ako ng point na wherein nasaktan lang ako dahil merong mga taong hindi ko kakilala na tinatawag akong kuripot .
“Bakit kilala mo ba ako? Di ba, I think, and I think ah, itong paglalabas ko sa vlog. All of a sudden, they have a different perspective kung bakit ba iyong kuripot sa masinop sa pera, di ba? So parang all of a sudden, ah, ok, now I understand, na kasi may pinaglalaanan lang siya.”
He explained that he is not affected by people who call him stingy. He admitted he felt ‘off’ when they accused him of being one without them personally knowing him first.
“Hindi natin kailangang lagyan ng masamang understanding iyong pagiging kuripot. Dapat nga mas masama ang tingin natin doon sa magnanakaw ng pera hindi doon sa kuripot sa hard-earned money.”
Dee said there is nothing wrong with being careful with money during a pandemic, admitting that taking advantage and fooling people is far worse than being stingy.
He has a podcast on Spotify titled The Budgetarian, where he shares the #Budgetarian mentality—being a better steward of time, money, and resources.
