In an Instagram post on December 31, 2021, Direk Mark shared that the letter of support from Toei Company is “one of his best Christmas gifts.”
Director Mark Reyes is ecstatic to receive a letter of approval from Toei Company, LTD. for the Philippine adaptation of Voltes V.
“One of the best Christmas gifts I received was this kind letter of support from no less than Voltes V’s home base in Japan, TOEI Company.”
In the letter, Toei Company mentioned their excitement to see Voltes V’s Philippine adaptation titled Voltes V: Legacy.
During Direk Mark’s interview with GMA’s 24 Oras, he said that receiving praise from the Japanese company means a lot to the Voltes V: Legacy staff.
“‘Yung mga Japanese pa ang nag-praise, they don’t have any revision and they we’re very happy and we’re very surprised with what they saw.
“If there’s any indication or validation du’n sa mga ginawa namin ng buong team ng Voltes V. Siyempre nakakataba ng puso,” he said.
Voltes V is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise.

The highly coveted roles eventually went to Miguel Tanfelix as Steve Armstrong, Radson Flores as Mark Gordon, Mark Lozano as Robert ‘Big Bert’ Armstrong, Raphael Landicho as ‘Little John’ Armstrong, and Ysabel Ortega as Jamie Robinson.
