Aspiring artist Aguas Justine took to social media to call out a director who allegedly gives free workshops but will later ask for money from his students for his expenses in his films.
In a facebook post on Wednesday, January 5, Aguas shared that the director made his artists pay for the renovation of his house for a YouTube series he is making.
Aguas then revealed that he got removed from the YouTube series along with other talents for their failure to pay for the renovation expenses right away.
He also mentioned that the director is a monster and has a bad attitude. He then said that the director has no right to include Aguas’s mental health problems in the issue.
CANCEL this director,” he said.
Although Aguas Justine did not reveal the director’s identity, netizens claimed that the aspiring talent he is referring to is Joey Paras.
In the comment section of Aguas’s post, netizens tagged Joey Paras. A screenshot of the director’s now-deleted facebook post was also shared.
In the screenshot, Direk Joey opened up about his frustration regarding his workshop students. He mentioned that a wanna-be starlet with mental health issues maltreated him.
The director also said that he created monsters in his workshop classes and even called his students ungrateful, greedy, fame whores, and disgusting.
Director Joey Paras is an actor-turned-director. He is known for his 2009 film Last Supper No 3 that received the MTRCB Awards Best Comedy Film for 2010 and Cinemalaya 2009 Best Film. He is the playwright behind Bawal Tumawid, Nakakamatay.
