Reroute star Cindy Miranda on Wednesday, January 5, opened up about her love life and admitted that she misses being wooed by someone.
“May time na nalulungkot po ako. Of course naiinggit ako sa mga kaibigan ko kapag nagpo-post na magkasama sila as a couple or what. Sana ma-meet ko siya very soon or kung nand’yan man siya around,” she said during the film’s virtual media conference.
Miranda, 31, pointed out that she does not avoid dating as she believed it would definitely inspire her as an actress. However, because of the pandemic, she cannot go out on dates and meet her special someone.
“Hindi ako makalabas, hindi ako makapag-date because of the pandemic. Pero if given the chance, why not? Or maging friends with them. Di naman kailangang magmadali talaga.”
Being in a relationship would also not hinder her career, says Miranda. She stressed that it’s all about “balance.”
“Yung pagbo-boyfriend, I’m not saying na nakakasira ang pagbo-boyfriend sa pangarap. Kasi it’s about balance eh.”
If ever she finds the right person for her, she hopes he could be understanding given the kind of industry that she is in.
“Feeling ko naman dapat kapag nag-boyfriend ka or nagmahal ka, yung taong mahal mo ay kailangang suportahan ka. And I hope po na if ever magka-boyfriend ako, he will understand kung ano ang trabaho ko and susuportahan ako sa trabaho ko.”
The sexy actress also has no plans of getting married once she enters a relationship.
“Wala pa po akong plan na mag-asawa or magpakasal. But if ma-meet ko man this year, or tomorrow, or later, why not? Kasi ang sarap ma-in love. Nami-miss ko na ding kiligin.”
Apart from being single, Miranda admitted she has difficulty trusting people. However, through time, she realized “never to judge a book by its cover.”
“Sa totoong buhay mahirap po talaga akong magtiwala. Yun nga kaya medyo naka-isolate ako palagi, ganoon ako. But once nagtiwala ako, talagang tiwalang-tiwala ako.
“But you know, natutunan ko habang tumatanda na hindi mo p’wedeng i-judge how you see them first time physically kung paano sila gumalaw.
“I need to trust more kasi parang feeling ko mas mahirap yung ikaw lang palagi sa sarili mo eh. I want na mas madaming kaibigan, mas madaming kilala. It’s not bad naman to be friends with a stranger.”
In the meantime, Miranda says she would not change anything in her life, believing that they were there for a reason.
“Wala. Baka hindi po ako makarating dito eh kapag may binago ako. And baka hindi rin ganito yung pagmamahal ko sa trabaho ko ngayon kung may babaguhin ako.
“It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t easy and siyempre may mga bagay na kung maaari na hindi mo na maiisip, but you know it’s part of me right now.
“And I feel na ito ako ngayon, strong person. Alam ko yung gusto kong mangyari sa buhay ko because of those things. Kaya I don’t want to change anything sa past ko even yung mga taong naniko,” she explained.
