On Thursday, January 20, award-winning actress Belle Mariano admitted she never lost hope in her acting career because it is her passion.
“The whole experience really was a rollercoaster. There were ups and downs but for me kasi, never ko pong nakita yung light.
“Kasi if I don’t seek for the light, parang it means na hindi ako passionate sa ginagawa ko, hindi ko love yung ginagawa ko. So I always try to seek for the light even if it’s a really low moment,” said Mariano during a virtual media conference for her upcoming digital concert Daylight: A Belle Mariano Digital Concert.
In terms of negativity, she respects other people’s opinions since it does not define who she really is.
“Honestly, just never let the negativity affect you as long as you know who you are, your core, and as long as you always seek the daylight.
“Surround yourself with the people you love, the people who love you, surround yourself with positive people. Coz’ I feel like the ones around you talaga are the biggest influences in your life.
“We can’t blame them kasi we all have different preferences and opinions. It’s just a matter of respect and I feel like there’s just a lot of hate going on around so why don’t we spread kindness? It’s so easy to be kind.”
She started in the now-defunct kiddie gag show Goin’ Bulilit and from there found success after teaming up with Donny Pangilinan in the 2019 digital series He’s Into Her.
In 2021, the actress sang Sigurado, which had 6.5 million views on YouTube.
Mariano that same year also released her first album Daylight.
Her digital concert is set to stream on January 29. Tickets for general admission are still available at ktx.ph.
