On Tuesday, December 28, Hugas stars AJ Raval and Sean De Guzman stressed that they’re not just being sexy stars. Both aspire to receive an award from any award-giving body.
In the virtual media conference of the film, Raval said that they had a conversation regarding the matter on countless occasions.
Hugas is the film where they showed how much they have improved.
The sexy star also thanked the film’s director, Roman Perez Jr. for highlighting their improvement in acting.
De Guzman, on the other hand, noted that any artist [really] dreams of getting recognition for their work. He even said that just being nominated for any award is a huge confidence boost for actors.
“Sagot ko d’yan, opo wala namang aktor na hindi pinangarap na ma-recognize, or mabigyan ng award, or kahit ma-nominate lang sa isang prestige film fest gan’yan. Pangarap ko rin pong ma-recognize.”
Hugas is the third sexy project that Raval and De Guzman have worked on.
When asked if they still feel awkward seeing each other’s bodies, both answered “no.”
Raval added that their relationship became deeper after working together in several films.
So mas lalong naging deep ang bonding namin, yung samahan namin. So noong ginawa namin ang mga love scenes, parang nandoon talaga yung love. Makikita niyo talaga yung love sa mga love scenes,” she explained.
Before Hugas, the two worked together on Taya and Nerisa.
Hugas which will be available for streaming on January 14, 2022, also includes seasoned actors Joko Diaz and Jay Manalo along with a young cast in Cara Gonzales, Stephanie Raz, and Bob Jbeili.
