Kapuso actor Xian Lim expressed his concern on Thursday, December 16, regarding his series Love. Die. Repeat. being delayed due to his co-star Jennylyn Mercado’s pregnancy.
In the virtual media conference of his upcoming romantic-comedy show False Positive, Lim said his initial reaction upon hearing that they temporarily shelved Love. Die. Repeat. was that he was anxious when it would resume.
“Yung initial reaction ko was I was a bit worried na like kailan magre-resume. Of course, we are all very happy for Jennylynn, congratulations. But at the same time there was that worry na ‘Kailan kaya magre-resume ang show? Are we gonna stop completely? What’s gonna happen?'” expressed the actor.
It can be recalled that earlier in October, the taping of Love. Die Repeat. was halted when Mercado was hospitalized. GMA Network, however, assured that the show will still push through and resume taping in 2022.
The situation seemed to have worked for the better and had Lim’s worries erased when he heard that he’d star alongside Glaiza de Castro in False Positive.
“But other than that, mabilis lang yung proseso eh. Nabanggit kaagad nila na merong False Positive. Same director tapos makakasama ko pa si Glaiza. So yung question na yun went away nang mabilisan. So I started to prepare for this one.”
False Positive and Love. Die. Repeat. has the same director in Direk Irene Villamor.
Meanwhile, the series will also mark Lim’s return in rom-com, which the actor said he was really waiting for.
“My reaction was noong kinwento kaagad nila yung story sa akin, ang tagal ko na rin kasing hinahanap bumalik sa rom-com.”
Furthermore, Lim also felt that the genre made him the actor he is right now.
“I feel like doon talaga ‘ko nagsimula sa romantic comedy. And by heart yun talaga yung expertise ko, hahaha! Feeling ko din doon ako minahal,” he added.
False Positive will be aired in 2022.
