Kapuso star Dennis Trillo is rumored to join the cast of Voltes V: Legacy as the live-action adaptation series is set to air in 2022.
In an Instagram post on November 23, Trillo shared a video of him in a hotel.
The video showed a short comedy stint by Trillo where he walked in a hallway to visit and annoy his friend.
The same hotel hallway was seen in Miguel Tanfelix’s previous Instagram story. Tanfelix will play Steve Armstrong, the leader of the Voltes V team.
With the similarity in Trillo and Tanfelix’s hotel post, netizens insinuated that Trillo will be part of Voltes V: Legacy and he is undergoing his hotel quarantine for the series.
Mark Reyes, the director of Voltes V: Legacy, also posted on Instagram regarding rumors about new cast members of the show.

“I can neither deny nor confirm rumors about new cast members joining #voltesvlegacy . But I can confirm that @neilsese is still Dr. Hook. 😃 #ontheset #directorslife #alamatnaaktor #svenson360” said the director.
In 2005, Trillo was one of the Filipino celebrities who dubbed Voltes V Evolution.
Voltes V is a Japanese anime television series that aired from 4 June 1977 to 25 March 1978. Toei Animation and Nippon Sunrise produced the series.
GMA Network acquired the rights to make a live-action adaptation of Voltes V through Telesuccess Productions, Toei’s Philippine-based licensing company.
Voltes V: Legacy trailers have already been released by the Kapuso network in February 2021 but there is still no specific date for its premiere date.
