Alternative rock band AfterImage’s frontman Wency Cornejo questioned on Monday, December 13, the authenticity of the survey showing that Vice President Leni Robredo leads the presidential race.
On his facebook post, Cornejo wondered how did Robredo become the top choice of Filipinos for the upcoming 2022 elections.
“I wonder in what alternate reality nabubuhay itong mga ito? And hindi sila purveyor of fake news ha? Tapos, the saddest thing about this is: may mga naniniwala,” he wrote.
The singer then sought the reaction from supporters of Robredo as he further stated, “I honestly want to ask Leni’s supporters kung tingin nila ay totoo ito. Game pinklawans, permission to comment.”
The result was only from Iloilo City voters as sourced by the local firm Random Access Consultants, Inc. (RACI).
According to Rappler journalist Joey Marzan, the survey showed that Robredo was the favorite of Ilonggos with 53.5% while Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr came in second at 29%.
Ilonggos also preferred Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, Robredo’s running-mate, to become the next Vice President of the Philippines at 36.3% while Marcos’s VP candidate, Davao City Mayor Sara “Inday” Duterte has only 22%.

Netizens defended Rappler by explaining to Cornejo that they did not include the outcome was only from Iloilo residents.
The singer rebutted that such information must not be kept away from the public.
“Bwahaha! Kulang lang ng Iloilo? And dahil kulang ng isang detalye na napaka importante, that makes this legit. Ay naku naman,” he responded.
Cornejo also doubted the authenticity of the report saying, “And besides, I highly doubt that yan ang TUNAY na results sa Iloilo. Did you not see the Uniteam caravan there?”
The AfterImage vocalist, a supporter of Marcos, also recently questioned Robredo’s delivery scam post, as he deduced that those motorcycle couriers could not deliver P100,000 worth of groceries to the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
