‘The Clash’ Season 4 champion Mariane Osabel “traumatized” after not winning in ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’

Winner of The Clash season 4 Marian Osabel revealed on Wednesday, December 22, that her loss in the 2019 Tawag ng Tanghalan became a traumatic experience for her to the point she was afraid of joining singing contests anymore.

In the virtual media conference for Osabel, the 23-year old singer said, “Nasaktan po ako and siguro masasabi ko na naging trauma na din siya. Kasi natakot po ako eh. Natakot talaga akong mag-join ulit.”

But according to Osabel, she did not let the loss linger, believing that there was a reason behind her defeat.

“Pero hindi ko na po yun pinatagal. Sinabi ko sa sarili ko na, ‘Okay na-experience ko ‘yon and for sure may reason behind that, merong purpose yung pangyayari na ‘yon.'”

To recall, Osabel failed to acquire a Seat of Power in It’s Showtime‘s singing competition after judges hailed Mariko Ledesma as the winner.

The experience, no matter how painful, made Osabel improve more as a singer.

In the meantime, many Kapamilya personalities have declared that Osabel should have won the Seat of Power. The singer, nevertheless, was adamant that it was not her time.

“Yes. Pero I believe everything happens for a reason talaga. And nakapag-move on na po ako.

Furthermore, Osabel said that Ledesma, her rival in the 2019 competition, deserved the victory.

Sobrang galing ni ate Mariko no’n and wala akong hinanakit sa kanya talaga.”

Truth be told, Osabel’s time has come as she was declared the grand champion of The Clash season 4 earlier on December 19, earning P4 million worth of prizes, including a P1 million cash, house and lot, and an exclusive management contract with GMA Network.
