On November 27, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. trended after flexing his workout body on social media.
On his Facebook account, Revilla showed off his new muscular physique. He captioned his photos, “Result of hard work and discipline. Let’s do it!”
According to reports, Revilla got into shape at 55 years old as preparation for the second book of his Kapuso series, Agimat ng Agila.
He stars in the second installment of the fantasy-action series with Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa.
Series director Rico Gutierrez praised Mateo’s acting during their action sequences for Agimat ng Agila.
“Magaling siya gumalaw at madaling turuan sa mga action sequence, kahit first time niya. Sa acting, magaling din. Very instinctive naman siya.”
He also noted that Revilla helped the beauty queen with her acting scenes during their filming.
“Binibigyan siya ng pointers ni Senator Bong sa mga scene nila, nakakatuwa. Malakas din ang chemistry nilang dalawa.”
Agimat ng Agila: Book 2 premieres on January 8, 2022, on GMA Network.
