On December 11, A and Q Films Production and Trending Entertainment announced their partnership with their flagship movie Nelia.
During the media conference, A and Q producer Atty. Aldwin Alegre expressed his gratitude to Trending Entertainment for their future international distribution of Nelia after the Metro Manila Film Festival 2021.
“We’re very happy we’re very/ glad because we have our partners in the U.S. to actually distribute the movie after it’s shown here at the Metro Manila Film Festival.
“Because, under the MMFF rules, there’s a /certain period within which you can show it to other platforms or other countries. I understand it is within the 90 day period after which it can be/ shown anywhere else.”
Trending Entertainment CEO Jason Elkin shared one of the selling points of Nelia as relatable content.
“It has a community that has been /focused on that can relate to the movie concept itself. For/ the fact that it was /placed around the scene-setting in a hospital, that is a supporting component in/ regards to relatable content for us.”
Trending Entertainment President Ruthy Molina described Nelia as a well-written, edgy suspense thriller.
“So for me, when I saw the scenes of Nelia, it was a beautiful Dr. Kevorkian angel of death, suspense thriller, and it keeps you on–at your seat looking towards every segment of the movie.
“So who doesn’t like a suspense thriller that is edgy, which is cutting-edge, brilliantly written, and it’s the flagship that showcases the multitude of talent during the pandemic?”
Nelia premieres on December 25 during the Metro Manila Film Festival 2021 in select theaters in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The suspense thriller stars Winwyn Marquez, Raymond Bagatsing, Mon Confiado, Ali Forbes, Shido Roxas, and Juan Carlos Galano, and is directed by Lester Dimaranan.
