Kim Chiu finally addressed her issue with former Kapamilya Bea Alonzo in an interview on Sunday, December 12.
An entertainment website claimed that Chiu recorded via IG the removal of Alonzo’s portrait in the ABS-CBN Hallway of Stars.
The post caused such fuss on social media as Alonzo’s fans took a swipe at Chiu.
Chiu explained that she just had fun during the incident and she didn’t know that the portraits included Alonzo’s.
Chiu explained, “Katuwaan lang kasi namin talaga ‘yun ni Tyang Amy (Perez) kasi kinakabahan talaga kami sa Magpasikat (It’s Showtime), like super talaga ‘yung mga linggong ‘yun. Hindi namin maipaliwanag, kasi hindi aaprubahan ‘yung apoy (performance) namin.
“So, parang anong gagawin natin Tyang Amy? Magtutula tayo do’n? Tapos nagkataon (nakita) nagtanggalan ng pictures. Tapos sabi namin kay Kuya, sino ‘yan? Sino diyan? E, hindi sinasabi kung sino.”
Chiu also said that there was no issue between her and Alonzo’s. It is all rooted in their fans.
“Wala naman kaming isyu. Sa mga fans kasi protective sila, naintindihan ko naman. Saka nu’ng lumabas po ‘yung ano, nalaman ko po kung sino yung nandoon, charot.
“Parang binaba lang naman siya kapag…hindi ko po alam eh, kasi hindi naman ako ang nag-uutos kung sino ang tanggalin. Nagkataon lang na nakita namin ni Tyang Amy.“Sabi rin ni Direk Lauren (Dyogi) bakit kasi nagtanggal nang tanghali, napahamak tuloy ‘to (sabay turo sa sarili),” she stated.
Via twitter on November 25, the actress called out the entertainment website for dragging her into an issue with Alonzo.
Tagging the website, Chiu wrote: “Eto namang si @FashionPulis ginawan pa’ko ng issue. Ikaw talaga. Kurutin kita sa singit eh! Mag-2022 na powz. PEace and calm nalang tayey. ‘Pag keri. Love love love! Sabi nga ni Ate Kris!”

Many netizens speculated that Chiu and Alonzo are not on good terms since Gerald Anderson was their ex-partner.
Chiu and Anderson were Pinoy Big Brother housemates until they eventually became a couple in real life. They broke up in 2010.
After his four-year relationship with Chiu, the actor grew close to actress Alonzo in that same year. They went through an on-and-off relationship until they finally called it quits in 2019.

Gerald Anderson cheated on Kim Chiu with Bea Alonzo. He then dated Sarah Geronimo but chose Maja Salvador instead. He broke up w/ Maja & went back to Bea. Now they broke up again cause he allegedly cheated with Pia Wurtzbach.
