Jeyrick “Carrot Man” Sigmaton said on Monday, November 29, that he dreams of working with Kapuso Primetime Princess, Barbie Forteza someday.
“Si Barbie Forteza. Parang parehas kami ng height eh,” said Sigmaton during the press conference for his work in the short film Dayas.
The Igorot actor then recalled how he met Forteza, sharing that his first impression of the actress was “kind.”
“Nakita ko po nung last 2017 po ata,” he answered. “Okay naman siya, mabait. Kasi nagk’wentuhan kami sa likod nang screen, ay likod nang camera pala.”
Meanwhile, one of the film’s directors, Direk Jianlin De Los Santos Floresca was open to casting both Forteza and Sigmaton in a project as long as her conditions are met.
“P’wede naman. Basta may magandang k’wento, at tsaka basta maganda ang lahat, kung okay naman. S’yempre negosyante naman tayo ‘di ba?
“Apart from our artists, mas importante din sa akin ngayon yung why I do the film. So kapag may nakita ako na magandang reason, and then my actors are also aligned to that vision and mission, then it’s fine,” pointed Floresca.
Aside from Forteza, Sigmaton also wishes to work with celebrity vlogger Ivana Alawi.
Dayas is the first short film of Sigmaton, eventually earning him Best Actor in the 2021 International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) Autumn edition in New York. It tells the story of small-scale gold miners in Itogon, Benguet.
