Featuring two of today’s fastest-rising love teams, ABS-CBN’s entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, is nothing short of spectacular.
First, you should know that the phenomenal box-office director, Cathy Garcia-Molina helmed this film. Knowing that alone makes us excited, as the director is known for making romcoms like no other.
Garcia-Molina’s films have seen the rise of several box-office kings and queens. Two of her films, Hello Love, Goodbye (2019) and The Hows of Us (2018) were both held the distinction of being the highest-grossing Filipino films of all time, with the former still keeping the highly-coveted feat.
Love at First Stream, a collaboration project between ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema and the Filipino live streaming service, Kumu.
It’s an exciting partnership as the film explores the world of live streaming, which has been a rising trend since the onset of the pandemic. The movie stars up-and-coming stars Anthony Jennings, Kaori Oinuma, Daniela Stranner, and Jeremiah Lisbo.
The four stars play lead roles.
Excitement abounds for this movie, not just because Molina directed it, but perhaps, more importantly, four new faces are all poised to send audiences shivering in satisfying ‘kilig’ feels.
We all know by now, given that we all already indulged in the breathtaking chemistry of John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz-Sarah Geronimo, and Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla in the past. There is surely nothing that could keep us from believing that we’ll experience the same. Besides Molina, creates tandems iconic, and Love At First Stream won’t be an exemption.
Judging the response of the netizens to the official teaser, there seems no doubt now of the massive excitement mounting for the MMFF entry.
We should also perhaps be reminded that Lisbo is undoubtedly among the fast-rising leading men today. He stars not just one, but two Star Cinema films this month alone. Oinuma, on the other hand, has shown her potential in several past projects. She is projected to become one of her home Network’s busiest young leading ladies, especially since she is also set to star in a new TV series next year. Jennings and Stranner are similarly garnering massive attention through the beautiful chemistry they showed in the teaser.
The Metro Manila Film Festival 2021 will open on Christmas Day, and it will run for two weeks. The return of the festival will also mark the collective re-opening of local cinemas after nearly two years of being shut down.
